Do NOT use any cleaning solution (isopropyl alcohol, etc.) while your pillar is over 300°F. This thermal shock can cause damage and cracking. Use a dry cotton swab or wait until cooler to clean. Do NOT apply a direct flame to the pillar, this will also cause thermal shock.
