Do NOT use any cleaning solution (isopropyl alcohol, etc.) while your pearl is hot. This thermal shock can cause damage and cracking. Use a dry cotton swab or slight heat to clean. Do NOT apply a direct flame to the pearl, this will also cause thermal shock.
